A New era for the Kuwaitis in particular and the Gulf people in general
I talked in my previous post about how miserable i am with my current job in particular, and about the first PR conference in general. In this post, I want to express what I felt and experienced in the PR conference. It is great when you see Kuwaiti people, especially young males who are holding a great positions in great companies. One of the main speakers in this conference was Mr.Yousef Malallah. He is the vice CEO in Investment Dar. I noticed that there was weak links between some of the points he talked about and i am sure that it was because of the time and not because he was not ready or he didn't have the knowledge. He was great in his presentation generally, and it was great to see him talking with a full confidence. The same goes to Mr.Mijbel Al-Ayoub. He was totally confident with his points when he talked about MTC and how they reached a great position in the region and how they are planning to be a global organization.
Moreover, we had a sidetalk with Mr.Hassan Al-Hassan the Head of the IPRA-Gulf Chapter. We discussed some interesting points about PR and how its important in our lives. We asked him how did he see the conference and his experience with the attendants. He said that the most important thing that attracted his attention was the female attendants and how they were great in the conference. Mr. Hassan is a Saudi citizen and i wondered when he said this about the females, how do they say that Saudi men do not respect women?!! it is so untrue. I am not defending the Saudi men but I experienced this in the conference. Saudi men were setting near females and they were talking to them and laughing. They were discussing many points regarding the conference. It was really a great experience that i have there and I am so happy to join IPRA-GC as a member, and i am planning to join the IPRA. Therefore, anyone who is reading this post don't miss the international conference that will be held in Bahrain next year in March. I am pretty sure that you will have a great experience there.

I have attended the conference and i really enjoyed it,, i met amazing peaple there..about the speakers : I loved Sandra Maclead she was amazing and very interesting and i also enjoyed Richard Linning's ..

الصراحه اول مره ادري انا عندنا شركات علاقات عامه بالكويت!
المهم شنو نشاط هالشركات بالكويت يشمل؟
يعدون حملات اعلانيه مثلا؟ ماعمري شفت بالكويت حمله معده بروفشنل!
وانت تشتغلين بشركه علاقات عامه او اداره علاقات عامه بشركه؟
وهم شنو نوع نشاطج؟
معاكم حق بكلامكم عن المؤتمر ,انا بصراحة كانت لي فرصة الحضور وكنت متوقع على العادة ان بتكون لي فرصة من الدوام بس ماقدرت اضيع دقيقة من الوقت لأني فعلا استفدت وحسين اني لاول مرة شغلي يعطني شي مفيد , حضرت مؤتمرات بدبي وكان البروشور يوعدنا بوايد بس هالمؤتمر فعلا مفيد جان زين كل المؤتمرات تصير على معنى مثل هالمؤتمر واكثرماعجبني بالمؤتمر توني ميهن كان متمكن وتكلمت معاه على الغدا بصراحة عجيب والي افتخر اني تعرفت عليه محمد طحلاوي , تبون الصج كلهم كانوا ممتازين وانا الحين سجلت بالعضوية لاني ابي افيد نفسي

انا من ارامكو السعودية وغادرت الكويت البارحة ويا اهل الكويت انتم دايم السباقيين بكل شي
شركتنا تتعب علينا وتعطينا الفرصة لحضور المؤتمرات وورش التدريب لتطوير قدراتنا وسعدت بحضوري مؤتمر الكويت الى فعلا كان اكثر من ممتاز وعلى عادتكم يا الكويتيين ما يجي منكم قصور
انا بس ودي اعلق على الاخت الي مستغربة من ان السعودي قعد جنب زميلتة الكويتية وكانوا يضحكون , يا اختي اصابع اليد ماهي مثل بعض ومو كل سعودي شين والله الزين اكثر من الشين لكن ما يبرز الا الشين وامسحيها بوجهي ان كان شفتي غلط من احد ترانا متحضرين ومو كلنا مثل ما توقعتي

I agree with my friend who liked Mrs.Maclead. She was more than great and I even suggested that she has to give us in our company a seperated lecture about the importance of the research for an investment company especially in the PR field. Also, Mr.Linnings was great.Generally all of the speakers were great, and i forgot to talk about DR.Anas Al-Rushaid, he was so humble and so informative.

الموضوع مو اذا في شركة علاقات عامه بالكويت او لا. العلاقات العامه يا امه انها تكون قسم قائم بحد ذاته أو انه يتواجد متخصصين بالعلاقات العامه في كل قسم و هذا يعتمد على سيساة الشركة و مدى رؤيتها لأهمية العلاقات العامه و تأثيرها على أداء الشركة.و بالنسبة للحملات الاعلانية هذي جزء من عمل ادارات التسويق في كل شركة. و بالعكس في شركات تهتم بالحملات الاعلانيه و في شركات متخصصة بالاعلانات فقط. و بعدين الحملات الاعلانية لها أوجه مختلفه مثل الصحف و التلفزيون و رعاية المؤتمرات و كل شركة لها رؤية خاصة بالنسبة لنوع الحملة الاعلانيه الي تفضلها. أما بالنسبة لطبيعة عملي فأنا اشتغل في شركة استثماريه قسم تسويق و لي اهتمام كبير بالعلاقات العامه لأنها كانت جزء من دراستي.

The conference was about the Public Relation and how its important in the corporates. The difference in this conference is that the speakers were great and well prepared. They were so helpful with the audience and open to all kind of questions. They had the time to answer all our concerns. if you want to have any information about the conference you can refer the newspapers for sunday or send me ur email and i will send you the presentations that have been presented in the confernce.

احنا أصلا الي لنا الشرف انه شركة مثل شركتكم تتواجد في مؤتمر بالكويت و أصلا أهل السعودية دايما معروفين بالكرم و الأصالة. و بعدين أخوي أنا آخر وحده ممكن أقول انه السعوديين فيهم شي لأني منكم و فيكم. بس أنا حبيت ابين حق أي شخص ممكن انه يقرا البوست انه أفكارهم غلط عن الرجل السعودي و أنه شخص يقدر المرأة و يحترمها و هذا أنا فعلا الي شفته و لمسته في هالمؤتمر من الأخوان السعوديين. و بعدين الناس دايما حاطه في بالها انه السعوديين و الكويتيين بينهم مشاكل و أنهم ما يحبون بعض يا أخوي خلهم يعرفون اشلون احنا اقراب من بعض و نحترم بعض، هالكلمتيين بقولهم عاد بالانجليزي عشان غيرنا يعرف احنا شنو و اشلون نحترم و نحب بعض
In this conference, I saw and noticed how the Saudi men respect and appreciate the women, it is not like what others say about them.Plus, I saw the love and respect from the Saudis for the Kuwaitis, So it is not like what the western media is saying. Saudia Arabia is a great country and Saudis are the sweetest and Kindest people i ever met in my life. Kuwaitis and Saudis are one hand so go the hell those who say that there is something wrong between us, THERE IS NOT :)
The next conference will be in Bhrain , I know it will be international , I dont know if I will attend , anybody Knows Ms Etidal Ayar Please let me know her conatct to ask her

If I was not a PR practitioner my company wouldn't elect me to attend the conference and I do know the meaning of PR dear, it is part of my MASTER DEGREE studies,plus i know the code of ethics for using logos and things related to NGOs like IPRA-GC. By the way NGO stands for Non Governmental Organizations. One more thing I am a member of the IPRA-GC so i have the right to be proud of such association, and dear in case u didnt attend the conference I can give you the details if you wish.

Thanks hind for ur comment and i appreciate that u read the post. But i talked about my master degree just to let u know that i know the meaning of PR scientifically and not from bubbles of my mind. I was not trying to point to anything and u r right when u said that PR does not need a master degree to study it and by the way it was not a major for me. one more thing, I used the IPRA-GC logo just to let the whole world know that we have what they have and we are like them if not better. Most western don't know that we are as Gulf people well-educated especially the middle class of them, and those are the ones who join the blogs to know about the world. And if u wanna talk about ethics, then we shouldn't use the pictures of celebrities to represent ourselves, and we shouldn't take pictures from the net without the permissions of their owners, dont u think so? Just to let u know that i am ready to remove the IPRA-GC logo if one of the members of the organization told me so but they have to convince me becuase i am not using it for myself.
Plus i dont know why you guys are emphasizing on this logo,we should be proud of it and use it as a means of appreciation to this Association and to its members!
Am from Saudi Aramco and i attended many conferences and especially in dubai but truely this one was different. All the greeting should go to our sister Etdal Al- Ayyar who put all that effort in joining the speakers or the programs. Thanks to all kuwaities who showed honor to all attendees, thank u kuwaities for having us and not for a moment u let us feel we are in different country, u r pr praactisioners by default. One of the objectives of any pr conference is to make friends and discuss local issues with others and exchange experience. Thanks again Etdal thank u kuwaiti citizens and u always take the priority over.

the decades have proved to us and to all the world how we all have one identity in the Gulf region. Saudi Arabia has always been like the father for all of other Gulf countries, and as a kuwaiti citizen i am proud of being part of this region and i will always be. Mrs.Etidal Al-Ayar did what all the Gulf people deserve.
It has been a great honour for all the Kuwaitis to meet all this people from the Gulf and also from the Arab world. Its our honour to be with u and we r missing u. Hope to see u in Bahrain next year insha2 allah :)

i see ur point of view regarding the reason behind it as an evidence of existence of the little "us" in the region , no hard feeling but its a matter of the freedom of speach i can actually exercise here ...
you sound more an ecouraging type , which suits the PR "ist" personality , not to mension being deplomatic doesnt harm either :)

I respect ur opinion totally and if the logo is bothering some of the readers here, its not bothering all of them and if it will be removed by the founder of the association and those who created it .. i won't say anything and forgive me if i said sth wrong. It was just a sort of enthusiasim when i saw and noticed the mentality that we have in our region :)
